Public Works Department

The Empire Public Works building is located at 2577 Vermillion River Trail, Farmington, MN.  The Public Works equipment along with the Public Works office is located in this building.

Empire Water/Sewer Department manages approximately 725 connections.  The City of Empire has one water tower, three wells and one lift station.  Empire Township has two maintenance personnel that are licensed and trained to manage this department.

The City of Empire has 4 neighborhood parks, over seven miles of hiking/biking trails, a softball complex with four fields, a baseball field and soccer fields that we maintain along with several outlots that we try to keep in their natural state.

The City of Empire has approximately 28 miles of roads that are kept up.  We have a storm water system with several storm water ponds.
